It's been a while.

May 2023, SC State Park
I started to write this post in January 2023, and here we are, over a year later. I think I ought to do an update.

Like a lot of other Airstream renovators we followed, life inserted itself and the Planet Argosy project got bogged down. Our RV experiences became more active, once we had a working rig. We've been on at least one trip per year since we bought the Coleman and have managed to make it work, even for a 2 week trek to Florida to be a festival vendor. It will likely get spruced up and sold this year to make cash for an RV we can live aboard, more about that next post.

The renovation has always been Lynn's project, but the conditions have never been favorable for her, and that was our main mistake. We were never able to find a way to raise up the carport to get the Argosy down the driveway to the relatively level concrete pad under the carport. We called carport dealers and handymen and no one wanted the job. So the trailer has been sitting on an incline, out in the elements with the demolition nearly done, but nothing can be built or fixed til it's level. Now, finally, we are developing a place to put it where we can get a proper space to work on it, but it will take some time to get everything in place. The Argosy has to be pulled together to be towed, so there's still work to do here too.

And meanwhile, the plan of living full time in an RV is on the front burner. It won't be the Argosy, that is our main decision. A few years of once a year trips and already we know we need more space. So we're looking at motorhomes. That is what the next post is about, so I'll leave this here. The blog will be changing name as we shift to our general experiences in the RV realm and pick up coverage of the Argosy when we can get the right setup. I think it's all useful. Things change, and we change. Life changes. More to come.
